VENUES TO SUIT YOUR REPERTOIRE

Our experience and local knowledge allow us to present the broadest selection of concert settings and offer all our choral and instrumental groups a musically rich and culturally diverse performing experience. By discussing your preferred concert locations and repertoire with our Concert Tour Coordinators, you will have the assurance of planning for concerts that meet your performance tour's aims and cultural aspirations. Whether you wish to perform in great cathedrals or to meet your peers throughout the world by performing at a local school or church, our Tour Operations Department will liaise closely with you so that you obtain venues that coincide with your group's specific performance criteria. To appreciate the diversity of options that we have at our disposal and identify the most suitable performance arena(s) for your group, please browse the following summary of options. SACRED VENUES

Performance Tours at sacred venues
  • Prestigious Venues - We can normally arrange for our groups to perform in the most prestigious sacred and historic venues such as St. Stephen's in Vienna, St. Peter's in Rome, or St. Paul's in London. The opportunity to experience the magnificent acoustics and historic auras of such settings can be a highlight for many touring musical groups.

  • Intimate Venues - Many Directors often prefer the opportunity to perform at a combination of prestigious and smaller, more intimate churches. To this end, we have an extensive range of over 500 local contacts worldwide who are interested in hosting overseas music groups. These smaller venues offer the ability to perform a less restrictive sacred repertoire and also the very real possibility of interacting with local people. On a similar note, joint concerts with local choirs are also occasionally possible.

SECULAR VENUES

We firmly believe Casterbridge Concert Tours has established contacts to offer the most extensive range of secular venues of any Concert Tour Operator. For the purposes of clarification, we will define our range of secular venues as follows:

  • Social - This would include public halls, stately homes, tourist centers or attractions, town squares, embassies, hotels or clubs.

  • Schools, Colleges and Academic Institutions - Our extensive selection of contacts with European Schools, Colleges and Universities is second to none.

  • Host Choirs, Orchestras and Joint Performances - Performing for and with your international peers is always a highly attractive and rewarding proposition.

  • Community Settings - Hospitals and Homes for the Elderly offer the chance to 'give back' to a body of people who would not otherwise have the privilege of attending a musical performance. Having even one of these options in your program can be an extremely rewarding experience and offers a distinct and memorable contrast with your other performance venues.

  • Informal or Impromptu - Opportunities for impromptu and informal recitals are maximized on all Casterbridge Concert tours. Similarly, formally confirmed booking opportunities often prove to be highly enjoyable options for versatile groups who wish to perform in an informal street setting among the local people.
